OMG — a kid just flashed a red laser light into my eye .. can I go blind? Should I go to ER? Please HELP !!!?

The damage will be instantaneous. If you can see, you are fine. Most lasers available to people (ie laser pointers) are not powerful enough to damage the eye, unless you look into it for a long period of time. There are more powerful lasers that this kid could have had, but it is unlikely. But, if you don't currently have vision problems from it, then there's nothing to worry about.

Oh, and there's also no reason not to look at a microwave when it is on. I don't know what the other guy is thinking, but microwave oven emit basically no radiation outside of the… inside. It is very easy to block microwaves, and as long as you didn't build the microwave yourself (which very few people would do something like that) or buy it from someone who did, I'm sure it has more than ample shielding. You know that mesh stuff on the window? Well, that's the shielding. So look all you want to. There's absolutely no risk.

Be carefull for that

if the laser was made of metal

and a copperish color

you can go blind

doesent mean you will though

about to years ago that happend to me.

i didnt go blind….

but if you truley cant see well

go see a doctor A.S.A.P

also

dont stare atmicrowaves when turned on
